Privacy policy
Beamz Household Ledger (“we”, “us” or “our”) operates the Beamz B Ledger Android application. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.
Information we collect
Account and identity information
When you create or use an account, we may process your email address, display name, Firebase user identifier, sign-in provider, email-verification status, account creation date, last-login date and your acceptance of the terms.
Ledger and budgeting information
We process the information you choose to enter, including categories, payment descriptions, amounts, payment status, partial-payment amounts, due dates, monthly budgets, income and savings targets. If you share a ledger or send an invitation, we process the invited email address and sharing permissions.
Notification and device information
We may process a Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token, reminder preferences and the minimum ledger/reminder information needed to deliver notifications. A registration token identifies an app installation for message delivery; it is not an advertising identifier.
Information processed only on your device
PDF and CSV bank-statement imports are designed to be read and analysed locally on your device. Bank-notification detection is also performed locally after you explicitly grant Android notification access and select eligible banking apps. Imported statement files and bank-notification contents are not intentionally uploaded to our servers by these features.
If you enable App Lock, Android performs the biometric or device-credential check. Beamz B Ledger does not receive or store your fingerprint, face template or device PIN.
How we use information
- Provide authentication, account management, ledgers, budgeting and sharing.
- Deliver due-date, overdue and other user-requested notifications.
- Send family-ledger invitation emails.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose service failures and comply with legal obligations.
Service providers
We use service providers to operate the app, including Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore and Cloud Messaging), Google Sign-In, Cloudflare Workers/D1 for server-side reminder and API functions, and Resend for invitation-email delivery. If you choose Apple sign-in, Apple also processes the authentication request under its own terms. These providers process information on our behalf or as independent providers according to their applicable terms and privacy policies.
Sharing and sale
We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for third-party advertising. Information may be disclosed to the service providers described above where necessary to operate the app, to a person you deliberately invite to a shared ledger, or where required by law, security or the protection of rights.
Security
Network communications are sent using encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. We use access controls and Firebase security rules intended to restrict account and ledger access. No system is completely secure, so you should use a unique password and protect access to your device.
Retention
Account and cloud ledger information is generally retained while your account remains active or as needed to provide the service. Notification tokens are retained while they remain associated with an active installation. When an account-deletion request is completed, associated account and ledger records are deleted or anonymised unless a limited record must be retained for legal, fraud-prevention, security or dispute-resolution purposes. A deletion-request audit record may be retained for up to 90 days.
Your choices and rights
You can edit ledger information in the app, disable reminders, revoke notification access in Android settings, stop sharing a ledger, or request account deletion. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, restrict or object to processing of your personal data.
Children
Beamz B Ledger is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so it can be reviewed and removed.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app or legal requirements change. The latest version and effective date will remain available on this page.
